Phillip Hon is a career educator from Stockton, Ca, having been a former teacher and school administrator. He has taught across the elementary, middle school, and high school levels and served as both a Dean and a Vice Principal.  Phillip received his Masters in Curriculum and Instruction from University of the Pacific and his Masters in Educational Leadership at Columbia University’s Teachers College. Phillip’s career has focused on advancing equity through educational opportunities both inside and outside of the classroom. 

Raelin Tamargo is a Stockton Native and former Rio Calaveras otter and SECA timberwolf! Rae graduated from UC San Diego with a B.S. in Clinical Psychology and a minor in music. Rae has previously served as a City Year fellow with elementary school students in the Bay Area. Rae’s goals are to inspire and empower the next generation of young leaders to not only imagine a safer, kinder, more equitable world, but also advocate for one for themselves and future generations.

Miguel Andrade-Salcedo grew up in Lathrop and is a graduate of Lathrop High School. After graduating, Miguel attended the University of the Pacific, completing his undergraduate studies and earning a bachelor's in psychology. Miguel is passionate about building a growth mindset and personal development in all students. Miguel has worked with students at a variety of levels as a teacher and high school cross country coach  Miguel also loves running and exercising in his free time. 

Sen Kironde is a native Stocktonian, having graduated from Lincoln High School. Sen has previously held the role as administrative facilitator as liaison between local school district staff and various academic tutoring programs. Sen is currently working for a local school district specializing in serving students with disabilities and has also worked with the City of Stockton Parks and Recreation. He carries a generational vision of seeing our cities youth to not only learn but love learning.

DRita Barrera is a San Joaquin County-based educator and doctoral candidate with a focus on STEM education and social justice. With extensive experience in teaching, she is committed to using education as a tool for equity and empowerment. Her research delves into the systemic disparities in the treatment of marginalized students, examining how schools can foster more equitable environments. Coach Barrera’s work highlights the critical need for reform in the education system to promote fairness and inclusivity for all students.

In addition to her academic pursuits, Coach Barrera is passionate about living a balanced and fulfilling life. Outside of the classroom, she enjoys creative outlets such as sewing and soap making, which provide her with a sense of calm and personal healing. Through her work and personal journey, Coach Barrera strives to inspire others and create positive, lasting change in the field of education and beyond.

Mikaela Cabang is a passionate young leader from Stockton, CA, doing both high school and college through dual enrollment at Delta College. As a proud Filipino-American and Latina, her diverse heritage drives her love for social justice and education. Mikaela is currently a photojournalist for The Collegian, Delta College’s student newspaper, after having served on the Changeist Social Media team, where she uses her platform to give a voice to those often unheard. Certified in Youth Mental Health First Aid, she’s even taken her advocacy to Washington, D.C., pushing for better mental health resources for teens. With back-to-back Presidential Volunteer Service Awards, Mikaela is on a mission to help inspire and lead the next generation of changemakers to discover and follow their passions.
